San Saba County Traffic Court Records
Traffic cases in San Saba County split three ways. The City of San Saba Municipal Court handles city citations through its clerk and the N-Court payment vendor. Richland Springs has its own Municipal Court. It uses a Government Portal for tickets. The countywide Justice Court, meanwhile, hears many traffic and fine-only matters that fall outside those two cities, and it keeps its own records.
| Issuing court | Lookup or contact route | Custodian |
|---|---|---|
| San Saba Municipal Court | N-Court citation or cause-number search | Municipal Court clerk |
| Richland Springs Municipal Court | Government Portal ticket search | Richland Springs court |
| San Saba County Justice Court | Clerk contact and separate county payment route | Justice Court clerk |
Don't pick a portal just because it is convenient. A city vendor cannot confirm a Justice Court case, and the San Saba city office has no authority over Richland Springs matters.
San Saba County N-Court Search
Start at the San Saba Municipal Court N-Court page. Its Citation Search step asks you to choose Citation/Ticket Number or Case/Cause Number. Then enter one value in the Citation/Case Number field. From there the flow walks through terms, payment, a receipt, and record-search steps, with no name, birth-date, or date-range search, no docket-event view, and no export option.
| Field label | Type | Required | Format note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search type | Choice | Yes | Citation/Ticket or Case/Cause Number |
| Citation/Case Number | Text | Yes | May contain a letter; preserve the printed value |
Wait five days first, the vendor advises. If a citation number that begins with zero fails, try it again without that zero. These tips are not extra time. Your response date still stands.
Looking Up a Traffic Ticket
Let the ticket choose the route. The county payment page keeps the Justice Court and the San Saba Municipal Court separate, and Richland Springs takes a third path entirely.
- Read the issuing agency, court name, ticket number, and appearance date.
- Use N-Court only for City of San Saba Municipal Court citations.
- Use the Richland Springs portal only for that city’s cases.
- For a countywide JP matter, contact the Justice Court at 325-372-5746.
- Compare the returned court and number with the paper citation.
- Call the named clerk if the case is recent, absent, or unclear.
The counter for the San Saba Municipal Court and the countywide justice court sits at 500 E. Wallace, Suite 110, San Saba, TX 76877. A traffic ticket on the San Saba County docket gets handled there in person. A phone call works too. Ask about the docket, current response channels, or copies of a filing. No statewide traffic-ticket portal exists. The court offers no local public terminal for a case lookup either.
San Saba County Search Screen
The N-Court citation search source shows the official form, and no ticket details are needed to view it.

The form shows number fields and staged payment steps. It is not a full public traffic docket, and it displays no final outcome.
Search limit: A balance or payment path can omit a dismissal, compliance item, course status, warrant issue, or full event history.
How to Find Your Traffic Court Date
The appearance date on the citation comes first. Read it closely. The county posts no full hearing calendar for either municipal court or the JP. Vendor results can identify a case, but only the responsible court can confirm a hearing, a reset, or a deadline.
| Issuing court | Determines which clerk and portal control the matter. |
|---|---|
| Citation number | Enter the exact printed value, such as TICKET NUMBER AS PRINTED. |
| Appearance date | The response date on the citation; it is not always a trial date. |
| Setting type | An arraignment, plea, pretrial event, trial, or another court setting. |
| Reset or continuance | A changed setting that should be confirmed with the clerk. |
That courtesy letter is dated 2020. It says a phone call is not an appearance. Ask the Municipal Court what rule applies now. For broader calendar help, see the San Saba County court dates page.
Richland Springs Traffic Ticket Search
The Richland Springs ticket form works in two panels. One searches by case number. It needs a Last Name plus a Ticket Number or Case Number. The other needs a Last Name plus Date of Birth. Validation on the page treats every visible field in your chosen panel as required. The portal offers no calendar, event list, copy form, or export tool, and no open docket list.
Results post to a single ticket view. That suits someone working through a known case of their own. It cannot prove what the full court file holds. The Municipal Court sits at P.O. Box 38, Richland Springs, TX 76871, phone 325-452-3409. Call the city court with date or copy questions.
Note: Keep birth dates private. Never publish a full ticket result from this search.
Pay or Contest a Ticket
Paying and contesting are different legal paths. The court named on your citation controls both, and a payment vendor is never a substitute for advice on a plea or defense.
| Choice | What it does | Confirm first |
|---|---|---|
| Pay or enter a permitted plea | Uses the issuing court’s response and payment process | Amount, plea effect, due date, and correct bureau |
| Contest | Requests the process for a not-guilty plea and court setting | How to plead, bond directions if any, and hearing date |
| Ask about an option | May concern a course, compliance, or deferred disposition | Current eligibility, documents, deadline, and approval |
That notice is dated. It mentions guilty, nolo contendere, and not-guilty pleas plus driving-safety-course rules, but its terms are no promise of current eligibility. Contact the court before you act.
Failure to appear: The local notice warns that failing to respond may lead to an additional case or warrant consequences. Contact the issuing court at once.
Two San Saba Payment Codes
The county ticket payment page lists two payment codes. Certified Payments bureau 1379247 serves the countywide Justice Court. Bureau 5728430 serves the City of San Saba Municipal Court. The split tracks jurisdiction, not bookkeeping.
Verify the code before you pay. A clerk can tell you whether the portal applies, whether the balance is current, and whether another court action is needed. Richland Springs uses neither city route. Skip the City of San Saba utility portal as well, since its contact page limits it to utility service rather than traffic citations.
The county's official payment page shows both routes plainly.

The visual reinforces that the Justice Court and Municipal Court are distinct custodians.
Traffic Court Record vs Driving Record
Two records sit with two offices here. A traffic court file shows what happened in the citation case. The state licensing agency keeps the driver record apart. Neither stands in for the other.
| Record | Custodian | May contain |
|---|---|---|
| Traffic court case record | Municipal or Justice Court clerk | Citation, plea, settings, case events, orders, and disposition |
| Driving record | Texas state licensing agency | The state-maintained driver-history record |
A court page may link to a driving-record request. Courts do this when a driving safety course requires it. That link does not fold the driving record into the court docket. Want the outcome? Ask the issuing court for the judgment.
San Saba County Traffic Activity
Check the OCA activity reports before trusting portal totals as live docket counts. San Saba Municipal Court counted 492 active pending cases at the start of fiscal 2024. It then added 592, disposed 566, and closed the year with 421 still pending. The numbers describe workload. Richland Springs was far smaller. It opened with 22, added 8, disposed 16, and ended at 11.
One caution: the justice court figure sits inside a broader criminal category, so it is not a traffic-only count. Treat the totals as workload context for the San Saba County courts, nothing more. They will not confirm any person's case, court setting, or balance due.
Copies and Fees
None of the three traffic courts, the Justice Court, San Saba Municipal Court, and Richland Springs Municipal Court, posts a current copy fee for traffic records. The county pages do link courtesy letters and fee schedules, but they are dated. A fine table from 2020 is history, not a quote for today, so confirm any cost with the clerk before sending payment.
| Item | Published current fee |
|---|---|
| Plain traffic case copy | Not located; ask the issuing court |
| Certified disposition or judgment | Not located; ask the issuing court |
| Search or archive work | Not located; request a quote |
| Online payment service | Confirm total before submitting |
When you ask the clerk for copies, hand over the citation or cause number, name the court, describe the document, give a date range, and say whether you need certification. Request the public, non-sealed portion only. Keep in mind that a receipt proves what you paid, not the whole docket or the final outcome.
Missing San Saba Ticket Results
A fresh citation rarely shows up instantly. N-Court asks for five days after receipt. A missing leading zero can break its number search. In Richland Springs, every field in the search panel you pick has to be filled. Rule out these technical snags first. A blank screen proves nothing. Call the issuing court and have it confirm the exact number, the appearance date, the status, and what public copy exists. Skip re:SearchTX as a backup for criminal or Class C citations. Its documented repository excludes criminal records. Do not read an empty result as dismissal, sealing, or proof no case was filed. For city-specific routing, the Richland Springs docket search keeps that municipality separate from San Saba and the countywide JP.
